What are stem cells?

① Self-renewal ability: The ability to divide into stem cells that possess the same capabilities as itself.

② Differentiation ability... the ability to create various cells that make up the body.

Cells that possess both of these characteristics are called stem cells.

These are important cells involved in the repair and regeneration of the body.

The human body has a mechanism to repair damaged or weakened parts.

Regenerative medicine using stem cells is a type of medical treatment that aims to restore the body to its normal function by amplifying the repair function of stem cells tens or even millions of times, and intensively acting on damaged blood vessels and dysfunctional organs to restore their function.

  • History of cerebral infarction

  • A stroke was detected in the head via MRI and MRA.

  • Two or more blood relatives within the second degree of kinship have arteriosclerotic disease.

  • Genetic testing indicated a high predisposition to arteriosclerosis.

Expected effects

Treatment process

1. Fat harvesting (approximately 10 minutes)

Fat is harvested from the abdomen. Local anesthesia is used, so there is no significant pain.

A small incision of about 5 mm is made along the wrinkles, and a small amount of fat, about the size of 2-3 grains of rice, is harvested.

The scar is in a barely noticeable location and the incision is small enough that stitches are not necessary, but in some cases, dissolvable sutures may be used.

*No stitches need to be removed.

2. Blood sample collection (approximately 10 minutes)

Approximately 100-140cc of blood is drawn to be used for cell culture.

A portion of the sample will be sent for testing to check the overall condition.

It's not enough to cause anemia, but please make sure to drink plenty of fluids on that day.

*Please refrain from drinking alcohol and take only a shower instead of a bath.

3. Cultivation (approximately 3-4 weeks)

After fat is harvested, our clinic collaborates with a specialized cell culture laboratory that possesses the highest level of technology in Japan, and immediately transports the fat under strict temperature control.

Upon arrival at the facility, dedicated culture specialists cultivate the adipose-derived stem cells in a sterile cell culture processing room for approximately 3 to 4 weeks.

We maintain close cooperation, including having a system in place to receive regular reports on the culture status.

We will prepare everything so that it is served in the best possible condition at your reserved time.

The medication is administered intravenously through a vein in the arm. There is usually no pain whatsoever.

*Please refrain from drinking alcohol on the day of administration.

4. Administration (Duration: 1-1.5 hours)
