Electroporation is a treatment that uses short pulses of electricity to temporarily create tiny gaps in the cell membranes of the stratum corneum, allowing medications to be introduced deep into the skin.
It is said that only about 0.3% of the active ingredients in a typical serum applied to the skin actually penetrate the skin.
With electroporation, the medication penetrates directly through the gaps in the stratum corneum, whereas with electroporation, the medication penetrates directly through the gaps, resulting in an effect approximately 20 times greater than iontophoresis.
Furthermore, it allows for the introduction of high molecular weight drugs such as hyaluronic acid and growth factors, which were previously difficult to penetrate the body, without the need for needle injections.
